Savings Accounts

Membership at Baptist Health Federal Credit Union starts by opening a Savings Account. Although you can deposit as much as you like, new members can open an account with as little as $5.00. Savings in your credit union are called “SHARES”. Just like at your local bank, your BHFCU Savings Account is insured up to $250,000 by NCUA, an agency of the federal government. And, our savings accounts usually pay higher dividends than most other financial institutions.

Certificates of Deposit

Your credit union also offers Certificates of Deposit in a variety of terms, up to three years. A minimum deposit of $1,000 is required. Dividends are paid quarterly. There is a penalty for early withdrawal.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)

Individual Retirement Accounts are available for our members who are looking for ways to save and invest their money for their future and reduce their tax burden at the same time.

Money Market Accounts

Baptist Health Federal Credit Union also offers a Money Market Share Account for investors looking for higher rates but immediate access. This account pays high money market rates on a minimum balance of $2,000, and with a $5,000 minimum balance you earn even higher rates. Dividends are paid monthly and the rate is subject to change without notice.

Christmas Club Accounts

Our Christmas Club Account is a special account for a special time of year. You can deposit funds during the year and earn dividends.
